Guide

What are trading indicators and how do they work as a desk?

Trading indicators are chart tools. They measure trend, location, compression, or momentum. They work when each one has a job. A plot without a job is decoration. Charts run to the areas of least resistance. APX is five TradingView overlays: Flow, APX Net Vol, Bernoulli Break, Venturi Break, and APX RSI.

Separate jobs. Not twelve plots.

Technical indicators, chart indicators, trading tools: same object. The name on the pane does not matter if two of them do the same work. Each script that has a job should keep that job.

Bias is the current. Green or red on the bar. That is Flow.

Control is the histogram under price. That is APX Net Vol.

Trigger is squeeze, then break. Daily, weekly, monthly on Bernoulli. Session clocks on Venturi. Don’t run both on the same chart.

Check RSI is the skip. Don’t take a green arrow into a 70. That is APX RSI.

Screener is the live multi-timeframe scan for stocks, ETFs, and crypto. Each name is scored on its trend, any squeeze or breakout, and RSI.

Free built-ins vs the APX desk

TradingView already ships RSI, Supertrend, VWAP, and Bollinger Bands. Those are real tools. You can build a desk from them if you assign jobs and refuse to stack copies.

APX scripts are public and free on TradingView. The paid layer is Discord, education, and the Screener — one desk, not more plots. Read TradingView indicator suite and how to read it.

Day, swing, crypto, stocks — same desk, different clocks

The jobs do not change because the symbol does. A stock, an ETF, and a crypto pair still run to least resistance. What changes is the clock. Session work uses Venturi. Swing work uses Bernoulli. Flow and RSI sit on both. APX Net Vol plots in its own pane under price.

What “best trading indicators” actually means

The best stack has separate jobs, not the most plots. A trading system that dumps eight oscillators on one pane is still a guess. Five scripts. One desk.

FAQ

What are trading indicators?

Trading indicators are chart tools that measure trend, location, compression, or momentum. They work when each one has a separate job.

How many trading indicators should I use?

Give each plot its own job. More plots that measure the same thing add noise.

What is the difference between trading indicators and a strategy?

Indicators describe the tape. A strategy is rules for entry, exit, and size. APX is a charting toolkit, not a signal service.

Do I need paid TradingView indicators?

No. Free RSI, Supertrend, VWAP, and Bollinger cover a lot. Pay when you want one desk instead of stacking overlapping scripts.

What trading indicators work together?

On APX: Flow for bias. APX Net Vol in its own pane. Bernoulli or Venturi for the squeeze, and whether RSI confirms. Do not run Bernoulli and Venturi on the same chart.

What trading indicators work together on APX?

Flow for bias. APX Net Vol in its own pane. Bernoulli or Venturi for the squeeze trigger, and whether RSI confirms. Do not run Bernoulli and Venturi on the same chart. The Screener is the live app, not a sixth overlay.

How do I get APX on TradingView?
